Epsom Skatepark and Playspace Design Project

The Bendigo Northern District Community Enterprise, in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo, have funded the design for an exciting new local skate park and play space at Epsom Village Green.

A major grant of $10,000 was allocated towards this project following a submission from a group of local primary school students.

A specialist skatepark designer, Eastbywest, have been engaged to complete the design of the park.

The designer is holding workshops in August and September at Epsom Primary School and Weeroona Secondary College, where students will help select which elements will be included in the skatepark, along with features such as colour and landscaping.

Once the design has been finalised, a fundraising campaign will start seeking funding towards the construction phase.

Students that are interested can continue their involvement in the project by being involved in fundraising, community events and site visits.

The BNDCE has established a Epsom Skatepark and Playspace Donation Account, and will work with local students and advocacy groups to raise funds.

Funds raised by the BNDCE will be used towards community art installations developed in partnership with Epsom Primary School students, coloured concrete, landscaping and skate clinics.
